Turning up the Heat on trading cards July 1, 2006

With the Miami Heat now NBA champions, that is great news for Dwyane Wade cards. Of course, rookie cards and autographed cards will be the most valuable, but even his common cards will also see a spike in value. Here is a breakdown of the main players on the Heat and the outlook of their cards:
1. Dwyane Wade – He’s the bigger winner in all this. He’s now taken the next step and is now a super star. If he wins a couple more championships, he could start reaching Michael Jordan status. Prices on his cards are going up across the board.
2. Shaquille O’Neal – Shaq won championship number 4 and is now talked about as perhaps the best center of all-time. This title will do nothing but help the value of his cards. He’s proven he can win away from Kobe and the Lakers, so his value is even more obvious.
3. Gary Payton – Even though Payton was only a role player on this team, I’ve noticed his cards increasing in value as of late. His rookie cards are now being looked at a lot more. Most likely, people are thinking that this championship has cemented Payton’s place as one of the best point guards of this generation.
4. Antoine Walker – Walker’s trading cards have never been highly valued, but that could change if he takes on a bigger role in Miami. He was a key cog in their run to the Finals and all indications are that he’s coming back next year.
5. Dorell Wright – Wright was drafted right out of high school and played very little this year. However, he has huge upside as a player and if the Heat keep up their winning ways, his career could take off. Buy his cards low if you can as there is nowhere to go but up.
Hello World! June 25, 2006

Hello World! It’s me again. I’ve decided to start my own blog. Everyone seems to be doing it, so I decided to join the bandwagon.
As anyone who knows me can tell you, my passion in life is sports trading cards. Ever since I was a kid, it’s been my number one hobby. And now as an adult, my passion has grown into a business.
I work from home and spend a good percentage of my awake hours buying, trading and selling cards. I’ve been in doing business for about eight years and I’ve learned a lot of tricks of the trade. I hope to pass those on to my readers.
I love this hobby and I want you to love it too!
